This ball displays toning and comes with a LOA from JSA (Z64531).
This ball was signed after the longest game in American baseball history, a 33-inning contest that spanned two daysApril 18-19 and the final 33rd inning played on June 23, 1981. Held at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, the game featured future Hall of Famers Wade Boggs of Pawtucket and Cal Ripken Jr. of Rochester. The game was won by Pawtucket 3-2. Ripken and Boggs combined for 25 at-bats.
